Welcome onboard to our new refillable amenity champions! More and more resorts are joining our Refresh Noosa refillable amenities program and are moving away from single-use plastic guest amenities, saving saving money and the environment by replacing millions of mini plastic bottles.

Tourism Noosa leadership program under way
Tourism Noosa's leadership program started last week with 12 participants undertaking the first leadership workshop, Focus on Me, facilitated by Leigh Bennett.
The session focused on the leadership qualities and skills of participants. Together they explored the concept that as leaders ‘We manage things but lead people'.
One-on-one mentoring sessions are next, and future workshops will include: Developing an understanding of experience development, packaging and bundling options, and early next year they will head to southern Tasmania on a group roadshow.

New emerging leader skills for TN's Digital Marketing Coordinator
Our Digital Marketing Coordinator Phoebe Thomas attended Meeting Place as part of last week's ATEC Elite (Emerging Leaders of Inbound Tourism Exchange) Program.
Phoebe has undertaken 14 weeks of industry learning through the program, developing skills as an emerging leader in the tourism industry. Phoebe and her peers worked on various modules and a project which saw her present on-stage in front of industry professionals, pitching a solution to a tourism problem faced by a real industry client.
Phoebe graduated from the program at the “Time Travellers Gala Dinner” and brought home new knowledge, great connections, her certificate and her big smile.

VSC welcomes new Board members
Visit Sunshine Coast (VSC) recently held its 2019 AGM where industry professionals Jennifer Swaine and Zoe Sparks were welcomed to the Board.
Ms Swaine is Chair of the Sunshine Coast Business Awards, an Executive of the Sunshine Coast Chamber Alliance and runs her own marketing and communications business.
Ms Sparks has worked in travel and events for the past 29 years and launched Spectacular Events and Spectacular World Travel on the Sunshine Coast in 2000.
VSC will also welcome a new Head of Marketing on 13 January 2020, Jo Prothero.
