Once-a-year chance to climb Cooroy Mountain: 21 August

The Rotary Club of Cooroy will hold the Cooroy Mountain Spring Festival at the spring water factory, 314 Cooroy Mountain Road, Cooroy on Sunday 21 August 2022. This is a once-a-year opportunity to climb Cooroy Mountain.

The first walkers can start their climb at 6.30am and the last will leave the base camp at 1pm. Plenty of car parking is on-site for a gold coin donation and $10 per person entry to the Festival – children age under 12 free. Closed walking shoes are required, and sunscreen and a backpack to carry water are recommended.

Sorry, no dogs are allowed.

There will be food stalls, entertainment and an observation trail through the rainforest to make the day suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Helicopter rides to see the mountain, Lake Macdonald and Cooroy from the air will be provided by McDermott Aviation - only $60 each with all net proceeds to good causes.

A new chapter in mountain running is set to begin in 2022 with the Cooroy Mountain Run starting at the end of the Festival at 3pm. See race details and entry criteria HERE.
