This year’s judge, Brisbane-based artist, Michael Zavros, made the following remarks about the quality of the entries he reviewed:

"It's an honour to judge this year's prize and I'm just so impressed by not only the quality of the works entered, but by the diversity of the entrants. In an age defined by digital technologies drawing remains as vital to us today as it was to our forefathers making marks on cave walls. I'd like to say that I was particularly impressed by some of the realism entered. There are some truly beautifully rendered works in this exhibition of finalists."

This year’s prizes are being staged exclusively online - you can view the shortlisted entries for both Lyn McCrea Memorial Drawing Prize and DRAW Student Drawing Award at where you can vote for the People's Choice Award for both prizes.
