Noosa Outrigger Canoe Club | Come and Try Day | 5 September
The Noosa Outrigger Canoe Club will be showing off a couple of their outrigger canoes at the Noosa Farmers Market this Sunday 30 August from 6am till noon. This is a chance to get a close-up look at the club's fantastic canoes and to talk to club members about the sport of outrigging. Find out how you can fit into one of the many programs they have for interested people.
Interested paddlers - men, women and children over 8 years of age - are invited to the club's Come and Try day on 5 September from 8am to 10am in Chaplin Park, off Mill Street, Noosaville, opposite the Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club. There is no charge and no pressure to join up – but you would be welcome to join the club if you wish.
Come and try outrigging in one of the club's six-person outrigger canoes. You can have three free paddles over three weeks before committing to membership.
Bring with you: Cap (not hat), sun screen, a bottle of water, shorts, T-shirt (or similar) that you can afford to get wet, a towel and if you like, a change of clothes, a great attitude and a happy disposition.
They will supply: Canoes, paddles, life jackets, outrigging instructions from a qualified instructor and a fun time on the beautiful Noosa River.
Please register for the Come and Try Day by emailing Craig at [email protected] - see further contact details below. The club has an approved Covid-Safe Event Plan in place.
