New art and an Easter market at Pomona Railway Station Gallery
Happening at Pomona Railway Station Gallery this April:
Two contemporary exhibitions
- In the Banana Shed, Janet Luttrell is holding her first solo exhibition, Bush to Beach. Working in acrylic on canvas, Janet's work is mainly contemporary and impressionistic. Every Saturday of the show she'll demonstrate her painting in the exhibition space. Closes 27 April.
- In the Carriage Room until 4 May, Di Shepherd is showing Scratching the Surface. Di's paintings are mixed media, modern and abstract. Each work has emerged organically, in multiple layers with scratching back (sgraffito).
Art Market in the Paddock, Easter Saturday
On Easter Saturday, 16 April, there will be an Art Market in the Paddock in the grounds of the gallery. Visitors will find beautiful and inexpensive work for sale by a range of artists and artisans. This is a perfect opportunity to buy original works and discover products handmade around the Noosa hinterland and coast. Open 9am to 1pm.
New work from members on show
The Signal Room changes its display of members' works every two months and you're invited to see the wonderful variety of fabulous art by this creative group.
As always, the Station Master's Room is a treasure trove of handcrafted items, including small paintings, handcrafts, ceramics, textiles, woodwork, jewellery and more.
