Frock Up for the Glossy Black-Cockatoo

Don your finest “black and glossy” and frock up for a cause at the Black & Glossy Gala Luncheon on Tuesday 3 November as the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation raises funds for the threatened Glossy Black-Cockatoo.

Set to be held at Peppers Noosa Resort’s View Restaurant on this International Day for Biosphere Reserves, this will be an event for a cause not to miss!

Learn about the Glossy Black-Cockatoo with a presentation from “Glossy Bob” Carey while enjoying a sumptuous two-course menu with amuse bouche by chef Matt Golinski, matching wines and 3-hour beverage package.

The wearable art fashion parade curated by Carlie Wacker will inspire and entertain you with exciting prizes for Best Dressed, and you can show your support in the “Glossy Raffle”.

All guests will receive a gift bag showcasing local artists and producers, including a copy of the beautiful children's book “Fussy Glossies” illustrated by Suzanne Bloomfield.

The Glossy Black-Cockatoo is an iconic and threatened species of the Noosa Biosphere Reserve and the Black & Glossy Gala aims to shine a light on the incredible work being done in the Noosa community to protect this rare and beautiful bird.

Proudly co-hosted by the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation and IN Noosa Magazine and sponsored by Plastic Free Noosa, all proceeds from the charity luncheon will go towards conserving our Glossy Black-Cockatoo population.

Tickets are $150pp plus booking fee and can be purchased through Eventbrite at here or via the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation's Facebook page.
