Connecting Noosa bringing locals together through free activities

Noosa Council offers a range of activities to help locals stay connected and try something new, through Connecting Noosa, a program of free community activities that give residents the opportunity to engage, socialise and participate in a COVID-safe environment.

Community Development Officer, Cheryl Pattison said Connecting Noosa was being well supported by the community.

“Since the program launched, we’ve been focused on re-connecting the Noosa community,” she said.

After bushfires and restrictions through the pandemic, Council launched Connecting Noosa in October last year as an initiative to support residents to connect with friends and make new ones by participating in free community events.

“It’s been great to see so many locals getting out and enjoying some new activities," Ms. Pattison said. "It’s a fantastic opportunity for people to reach out to neighbours, friends, family and colleagues and get them along to these activities."
